Nordahl Lelandais  was suspected to have kidnapped and murdered a little girl, Maëlys (27 August 2017). After nearly six months of denials, he confessed that he killed the child involuntarily and buried her corpse. Prosecutors investigating the death of the eight-year-old girl in the French Alps believe that they may be holding a serial killer, charging the former army dog handler with a second murder. Lelandais was charged on 21 December 2017 with the killing of Arthur Noyer, a 23-year-old soldier, who vanished after hitchhiking from a disco in Chambéry on 12 April 2017. At the end of March 2018, he confessed that he had killed the soldier “in an alcoholic fight”.

  • France is known for its rich culture, fine cuisine, and breathtaking landmarks—but beneath its romantic veneer lies a darker, bloodstained history. Hate Couture peels back the glossy postcard image of the country and exposes its most infamous exports with the Made in France T-shirt, a chilling yet subversively stylish homage to the nation’s most notorious serial killers. Because let’s face it—France doesn’t just produce world-class wine and haute couture; it has also birthed some of the most disturbing figures in criminal history. Design Breakdown: A Rogue’s Gallery of Horror At the heart of the design, the phrase "Made in France" is boldly displayed, parodying the prideful stamp of quality often associated with luxury goods. But instead of celebrating fashion, gastronomy, or craftsmanship, this twisted take honors France’s most terrifying minds, the ones who left their mark not in art, but in blood. The visuals feature a haunting collage of infamous French serial killers, each rendered in a gritty, true-crime aesthetic. Their faces, some eerily calm, others displaying a vacant stare, remind us of the cold calculation behind their crimes. Among the likely suspects featured: Marcel Petiot – The so-called "Doctor Satan" who posed as a resistance hero while luring victims to their deaths under the pretense of helping them escape Nazi-occupied France. Thierry Paulin – The ruthless "Granny Killer" who terrorized elderly women in 1980s Paris. Guy Georges – The "Beast of Bastille," a brutal predator whose reign of terror shocked the nation. Michel Fourniret – The "Ogre of the Ardennes," whose crimes alongside his wife Monique Olivier cemented him as one of France’s most depraved killers. Francis Heaulme – The drifter with a deadly impulse, responsible for a chilling number of brutal murders across the country. The black-and-white, newspaper-style portraits evoke the grainy mugshots and courtroom sketches that once filled headlines, turning these murderers into legends of horror. Around them, splattered details and eerie textures give the design a raw, visceral energy, as if history itself were bleeding through the fabric. A Satirical, Morbidly Patriotic Statement By reimagining "Made in France" as a serial killer showcase, this design highlights the macabre side of national identity. Every country has its monsters, but France’s are particularly infamous for their disturbing ingenuity, their ability to evade capture, and the sheer brutality of their crimes. This shirt asks: if luxury brands can proudly stamp “Made in France” on handbags and champagne, why not on the country’s most infamous killers? With Hate Couture’s signature dark humor and boundary-pushing aesthetic, the Made in France T-shirt turns true crime into a twisted badge of honor—one that only the boldest will dare to wear. Who is This For? Perfect for fans of true crime, history, and controversial fashion, this T-shirt is more than just edgy apparel—it’s a conversation starter, a statement piece, and an unfiltered glimpse into France’s underbelly. Whether you’re fascinated by criminal psychology or just enjoy fashion that makes people do a double take, Made in France is designed for those who prefer their style dark, daring, and unapologetically morbid. So, are you ready to embrace France’s most notorious heritage? Wear it with pride—if you dare.
