Gilles De Rais was a french baron and soldier who fought aside Jeanne D’Arc (among other noble acts). But not his noble acts of bravery brought him to fame as he’s notably known for the rape and murder of countless children and practicing witchery in his castle of Tiffauges.
Sentenced to death , he was called “The French Blue Beard” and inspired CELTIC FROST song “Into The Crypts of Rays”.
