Ed Gein has been an everflowing stream of inspiration for writers, musicians, movie directors etc.
He inspired Robert Bloch to create the figure of Norman Bates in his book “Psycho” , later put to screen by Alfred Hitchcock played by Anthony Perkins and most recently via Netflix’s “Bates Motel” (played by Freddie Highmore).
For his skills in making masks and clothes made of human skin, he inspired Tobe Hopper “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” iconic vilain Leatherface as well as SLAYER’s “Dead Skin Mask”.
So it’s quite normal to call the once called “Plainfield Ghoul” THE GHOULFATHER!
