The tyrant of Transylvania Vlad Basarab was famous for his cruelty and his war tactics. Waving a war against his ennemies, he is known for impaling his adversaries, granting him the nickname “Tepes” meaning “Impaler”.
Son of Vlad II, member of the Order of the Dragon he was called Draculea which means “son of the Dragon”. “Dracul” being the word for “Devil” in his country Romania, he ended up inspiring Bram Stoker when writing the world famous masterpiece Dracula.
